Neil Young with Crazy Horse | Cortez the Killer

"He came dancing across the water
With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
And that palace in the sun"

December 2nd 1547, the conquistador Hernán Cortés died. Cortés story is a fascinating read for a history-buff such as I, but for a long long time all I knew about him and the story of the conquistadors were based on Neil Young's song Cortez the Killer. One of my favourites of uncle Neil. The timing is also fitting to be reminded of the greatness of Neil Young. Yesterday saw the release of not only a new album, The Visitor, but also the release of THE ARCHIVE. An amazing resource for any music fan, for a Neil Young fan it's totally jaw-dropping and hell, I'm lost for words. Be sure to check it out, and do it sometime you have some time to spare.
