Grateful Dead | Winterland, 1972-12-12

This is a show from the end of my favourite Dead-year, 1972. Maybe not as good as some of the Europe-shows, or the Veneta, Oregon show - but it's still a really great gig. There is even a decent Box of Rain, though Phil never sang that song as good as on the studio recording. You get an amazing Bird Song and a long and delicious He's Gone. Top that of with a playful Truckin' >Jam>The Other One in to a showstopping Sing Me Back Home.

A great gig from the best band in the world.
